If you can afford it, it could be the best way to start learning guitar. The teacher can monitor your progress and guide you along with full attention.

DVD Lessons
You can watch the DVD video and see in detailed what the instructor is doing and try to emulate and learn from there. One good point is that you can repeat the disc over and over again to get a clear picture of the detailed steps.

Music Books
Many people started learning guitar through this way. There are many books on the different styles and method on how to play the guitar. Of course, you need to have some basic knowledge in reading music book or you might have a hard time to even get it going.

Internet
With the evolve of technology, this is one of the new way to learn guitar. There are many websites that will show you how to play the exact notes for a small monthly fee. Friends
If your friend can play guitar well, why not pick it up from him or her. It is much more easier to learn from friends than stranger, isn’t it?
